Azzahra Alya Suryawan is a driven legal professional with experience spanning capital markets, corporate compliance, and financial services. With a strong background in capital market, from IPOs, rights issues, private placements, and regulatory compliance, she has played a pivotal role in advising companies through complex corporate actions and transactions.
Azzahra has advised on equity offerings and M&A transactions, including cross-sector matters involving asset management, energy, clean water distribution, and plantations. Before joining ADCO Law, she provides strategic advice to a fintech company on regulatory frameworks, product launches, and institutional onboarding, ensuring compliance across banking, mutual funds, and stock platforms.

Practice Description
During her years of practice, Azzahra has been involved in numerous deals and transactions:
- Advised a leading investment and brokerage company on legal and compliance matters concerning terms and conditions, privacy policies, marketing regulations, customer service escalation protocols, and over-the-counter onboarding processes.
- Oversaw corporate compliance obligations under Indonesian Company Law for multiple entities, including preparation of annual reports, maintenance of shareholder registers, and issuance of share certificates.
- Supported company's licensing and operational compliance via Indonesia’s Online Single Submission (OSS) system.
- Provided legal advisory and documentation support for the launch of new financial products across banking, financing, mutual funds, and capital markets sectors.
- Conducted in-depth legal analysis on financial services business activities to assess to assess the permissibility, licensing requirements, and regulatory implications under applicable laws and regulations.
- Assisted a company in its Initial Public Offering (IPO), including legal support for corporate restructuring and merger documentation.
- Assisted a publicly listed F&B company in its rights issue, material and affiliated transactions.
- Assisted a publicly listed food production company in conducting private placement, and assist the new controller of such publicly listed company in conducting mandatory tender offer (MTO).
- Acted for a commercial bank in the share acquisition of a multi-finance company, handling regulatory filings and transactional documentation.
- Participated in legal advisory across a broad range of sectors including asset management, financial restructuring, employment, energy and natural resources (including carbon trading), water utilities, vessel mortgage registration, forestry, and plantation.
- Contributed to legal research, document translation, and litigation support during an internship with the dispute resolution team of a top-tier international law firm.
- Reviewed credit agreements and corporate documentation to ensure alignment with internal credit assessment standards at one of Indonesia’s largest private banks.
