Alexandra Gerungan is a seasoned litigator with over two decades of experience in dealing with litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Alex, as she is more commonly known, has represented high-profile clients in a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters, including civil lawsuits, arbitration, employment, debt recovery and restructuring, insurance claims, police and anti-corruption investigations, compliance and internal investigations, as well as general corporate or commercial issues.
Alex has been recognized as a top litigator by numerous local and international legal publications. Alex received her bachelor degree from the University of Indonesia and her master degrees in European and International Business Law from Leiden University. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIARB) and has also joined the Indonesian Data Protection Practitioners Association (APPDI) to offer comprehensive data protection insights.

During her years of practice, Alex has been involved in numerous deals and transactions including :
- Assisted a technology company in recovering payments from a counterpart, involving legal procedures to ensure the owed payments were successfully recovered.
- Provided legal advisory services to a non-profit organization focused on housing, specifically related to the relocation of an employee within the Asia Pacific region. This included navigating employment laws and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Acted as legal counsel for an Indonesian company in disputes related to a coal sale and purchase agreement, representing the client in legal proceedings to resolve conflicts with business counterparts.
- Handled the enforcement and execution of an arbitration award, ensuring that the arbitration decision was legally recognized and implemented.
- Represented an Indonesian company in meetings and processes related to the suspension of debt payments (PKPU), negotiating with creditors and managing the legal proceedings to achieve a favorable outcome for the client.
- Represented clients in a civil case concerning a breach of contract, preparing and presenting the case to demonstrate the breach and seeking the appropriate remedies.
- Advised an insurance company on corporate governance matters, ensuring compliance with legal standards and best practices.
- Provided litigation assistance to an insurance company, handling legal disputes and court proceedings on their behalf.
- Advise, assist, and represent a multinational construction firm in a series of dispute in the court of law and in arbitration in relation to their contract with project owner, advise on interpretation of the arbitration clause and on the competent arbitration body, provide recommendation on possible amicable settlement, represent in arbitration proceeding, court hearings, and in negotiation for mutual settlement.
