Damage due to the earthquake that occurred on November 21, 2022, at 13.21 WIB in Cianjur Regency, West Java Province, Indonesia, drew the attention of the ADCO Law team to inspect the hazard areas. As part of the tangible expression and social program that has been activated by the firm, namely ADCOncern, the representatives visited the victims and saw the conditions of the affected areas on Saturday (26/11/2022), in collaboration with the Indonesia Off-Road Federation (IOF) Jakarta.
The team, led by Partner Dendi Adisuryo, visited three evacuation points in the Cugenang District area. The Cugenang District Health Center is known as one of the local government’s points of contact.
“We sincerely are sorry for the natural disaster that occurred in Cianjur Regency. We also feel a profound sense of loss when we learn about the many victims and injuries, the damage to residents’ houses, and the plight of the affected residents who were forced to flee to safer locations,” Dendi stated.
This 5.6 magnitude earthquake claimed the lives of over 327 people and injured over 7729 others. Currently, there are at least 325 evacuation points, 183 of which are categorized as center evacuation points, which can accommodate more than twenty-five refugees. Meanwhile, the number of houses heavily damaged by the earthquake has risen to 62,628.
During the visit, the ADCO Law team spent the night in Cugenang before returning to Jakarta.
“We hope that our visit to one of the affected areas can provide a ray of hope and ease the burden our brothers and sisters are currently experiencing due to this disaster,” Dendi concluded.
The ADCOncern is constantly present with a variety of activities aimed at encouraging the creation of a high quality of life in society. Some of the activities are open not only to the internal members of the firm but also to the general public, which everyone can actively monitor the information on ADCO Law’s website and social media.
