Marinza Savanthy is a seasoned energy and infrastructure lawyer with years of experience specializing in power project development and strategic corporate transactions. Her expertise spans the full project lifecycle, from legal structuring to regulatory compliance, across major energy initiatives such as LNG-to-power, IPP projects, refinery upgrades, and geothermal developments.
Marinza’s breadth of experience includes advising international sponsors, state-owned enterprises, and financial institutions, as well as contributing high-impact M&A and divestment projects during her tenure as Vice President of Corporate Action and Project Transaction at Indonesia’s mining industry holding company.
She brings deep insight into the legal frameworks governing Indonesia’s energy and infrastructure sectors, regularly advising on PPP schemes, EPC contracts, licensing, and compliance. Marinza is a licensed advocate with PERADI and continues providing strategic legal guidance on transformative national infrastructure and energy developments.

Practice Description
During her years of practice, Marinza has been involved in numerous deals and transactions including :
- Advised a consortium in developing a 1,760MW gas-fired integrated power plant and floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) project, including regulatory compliance, project structuring, and multi-party financing arrangements.
- Assisted sponsors in financing a 275MW gas-fired independent power producer (IPP) project, covering legal due diligence and transaction structuring.
- Provided legal advice on developing a regasification terminal project, including establishing a project company, licensing requirements, and EPC contract processes.
- Represented lenders in evaluating a central infrastructure terminal's regulatory and contractual aspects, with a focus on procurement and risk mitigation.
- Supported a state-owned energy company's refinery upgrade and development plans under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework, offering legal insights on regulatory and contractual arrangements.
- Conducted regulatory landscape reviews for LNG-to-power initiatives in Indonesia, helping clients understand legal frameworks and commercial considerations.
- Provided counsel on legal issues related to oil and gas production sharing contracts (PSCs), including compliance, contractual obligations, and regulatory approvals.
- Advised on establishing a processing operation for metallic ore and offering strategic legal support in licensing and land matters.
- Delivered legal services on the regulatory setup of a solar rooftop business, including licensing and investment structuring.
- Assisted in acquiring multiple geothermal working areas, handling due diligence, and transactional documentation.
- As Vice President of Corporate Action and Project Transaction at a state-owned mining holding company, led strategic M&A and divestment initiatives, conducted legal risk assessments, and provided ongoing advisory services for business operations.
