ADCO Law Announces Strategic Partnership with GPS Legal Limited to Strengthen the Thailand Working Group

Understanding that Thai investors consistently rank among the top 15 foreign investors in Indonesia, with a combined investment value of USD 1.5 billion, has prompted ADCO Law to actively cooperate with a number of Thai investors. ADCO Law’s visit to Thailand from Friday, April 21, to Sunday, April 23, 2023, served to reinforce this commitment even further. When the 2023 APAC Regional Conference was held in Bangkok, Thailand, ADCO Law, represented by Alta Mahandara, our Partner, and Christopher Johnston, our Business Advisor, were present as a representative member of the Alliott Global Alliance (AGA) in Indonesia.

The conference, which was held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Bangkok and was attended by various AGA representatives from around the globe, featured several key agenda items, including strategy updates on membership development and initiatives designed to increase the visibility of the alliance brand in order to expand the customer base of each AGA member.

So it is important for us to provide comprehensive information regarding the growth of AGA to all of our members. This aims to continue to unite our common belief that, while globalization may be a positive force, there will always be a critical role to be played by local, independent-minded professional services firms,” said Damien McMenamin, Chief Growth Officer of AGA.

This conference was the first gathering that ADCO Law attended after becoming a representative member of AGA, one of the largest and fastest-growing global multidisciplinary alliances, with 215 member firms in 95 countries. As an added benefit for each of its members, AGA actively participates in international conferences. This creates great opportunities for members to stay in touch with AGA representatives in each country and broaden their business networks.

“The AGA 2023 APAC Regional Conference certainly not only gets us to know other AGA members more closely but also provides space for us to directly work together across jurisdictions. Moreover, the conference took place in Thailand, for which we also have a dedicated Thailand Working Group that assists Thai companies, their subsidiaries, and other entities in establishing and expanding their businesses in Indonesia while complying with regulatory frameworks and maintaining industry standards,” Alta explained.
