Unlocking Investment Potential for Indonesia’s 8% GDP Growth Target in 2025

Jakarta, 27 November 2024 –  ADCO Law, in collaboration with Watson Farley & Williams (WFW), hosted a significant ADCOTalks forum titled “2025 Mission Possible: The 8 Percent GDP Target.” This landmark event brought together prominent experts and key industry stakeholders for an engaging discussion on actionable strategies to achieve Indonesia’s ambitious economic growth target.

The forum unfolded through two deeply insightful panel discussions. The first session, “Unlocking Indonesia’s Investment Potential in 2025,” featured thought-provoking dialogue from Alta Mahandara, Partner at ADCO Law, alongside Remon Moerman, President Director of PT Egis International Indonesia, and Richard Mc Dade, Managing Director of ADM Capital. Moderated by Christopher Johnston, Business Advisor at ADCO Law, the panel delved into practical strategies for enhancing Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), identifying key regulatory opportunities, and strengthening Indonesia’s appeal as a global investment destination.

The second panel, “Enhancing Risk Management for Investment in Indonesia,” brought critical insights from Alexandra Gerungan, Senior Partner at ADCO Law; Kimarie Cheang, Partner at WFW; and Wielmen Rumli, Managing Director of Kroll. Led by moderator Elizabeth Fong, Associate at WFW the discussion emphasized the importance of risk mitigation strategies, robust legal frameworks, and fostering a secure environment to encourage investments in Indonesia’s dynamic economic landscape.

Throughout the event, panelists underscored the importance of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking policies as essential drivers of growth. They highlighted the collective responsibility of public and private sectors to enable Indonesia to achieve its ambitious target of an 8% GDP growth by 2025. “The 2025 GDP target is ambitious but achievable,” said Alexandra Gerungan, “This dialogue is a testament to the power of collaboration and innovation in shaping Indonesia’s economic trajectory.”

The event concluded with renewed optimism and a shared commitment to building strong partnerships and implementing policies that will propel Indonesia toward its growth aspirations. ADCO Law and Watson Farley & Williams extend their heartfelt gratitude to all participants and partners for their invaluable contributions, affirming that “Mission Possible” is not merely a theme but a collective vision for Indonesia’s prosperous future.
