Senior Partner Aditya Kesha Wijayanto Speaks on Trust Funds in Infrastructure Financing at PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) Event
Jakarta, 23 September 2023 – The ADCO Law Senior Partner, Aditya Kesha Wijayanto, and Partner from K&L Gates Straits Law LLC, Edward Bennett, delivered a presentation on trust funds from a common law system perspective as part of an event hosted by PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI), Indonesia’s State-Owned Enterprise (SoE) for infrastructure funding, with participants from different departments of SMI, including legal and project teams, attended the program.
Aditya Kesha began his presentation with an insightful overview of trust fund regulation, setting the stage for a deep dive into the formation of PT SMI’s Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with a distinct focus on its function as a trustee, along with the associated responsibilities and prohibitions.
The event was an opportunity to share knowledge and insights on the crucial role of trust funds in infrastructure financing. Kesha expressed his pleasure in presenting to SMI, stating, “I believe that institutional trust funds can play an essential role in infrastructure financing, and I am glad to have the opportunity to share my knowledge on this topic with SMI.”
