Delving into Anti-Corruption Law and FCPA at PT ESRI Indonesia

On September 13th, 2023, our Senior Associate, Morales Sundusing, led an inspiring legal training session for PT ESRI Indonesia.

The training session focused on a comparative study of the Indonesian Anti-Corruption Law and the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). As a result, participants learned about common corruption-related issues in Indonesia, the techniques for recognizing and reporting corrupt activities, as well as the consequences associated with engaging in corrupt behaviour.

The training was attended by PT ESRI Indonesia employees from various departments i.e., the legal, sales, business development, human resources, and operations departments.

The objective of the training was to enhance employees’ understanding of the corruption-related challenges most commonly experienced in Indonesia, and to empower them to raise concerns and escalate issues without fear. The training also emphasized that bribery or any type of corruption will never be tolerated by PT ESRI Indonesia as part of their compliance program.

This event was an important opportunity to raise awareness of corruption-related risks and provide our client with the tools to proactively prevent and detect corruption.
